Fridley Alano Society

Welcome to the Fridley Alano Society, your partner on the path to recovery. Located at the crossroads of 61st Avenue NE and Central Ave NE, just north of I-694, we support those affected by alcoholism and addiction.

Our doors are open to everyone seeking solace and community. We proudly host numerous AA, Alanon and Alateen groups. Our AA groups are affectionately known as “squads.” These squads are more than meetings; they are families, allies, and sources of strength. In these rooms, you’ll find understanding, empathy, and the unwavering support of those who’ve walked a similar journey.

But we offer more than meetings. Our club is alive with a vibrant calendar of events for the AA community, individuals and families touched by the challenges of alcoholism and addiction. Whether it’s a workshop, social gathering, or a special event, our goal is to foster a sense of belonging, fun, and growth.

If you or someone you know is grappling with the weight of alcoholism or addiction, we invite you to step through our doors. We’re here to lend a hand and a heart, helping you find the squad that will become your home group—a place of acceptance, transformation, and hope.

At the Fridley Alano Society, you’re never alone on this journey. Together, we heal, we recover, and we thrive. Visit us today and discover your path to a brighter tomorrow.

Mission

At Fridley Alano Society, our mission is to provide a welcoming, supportive, and empowering environment for individuals who are new to Alcoholics Anonymous and the journey of sobriety. We believe that the path to recovery begins with the first step and recognize the unique challenges and uncertainties faced by newcomers. Our focus is on nurturing a sense of belonging, understanding, and hope from the moment someone walks through our doors.

We are committed to:

  • Welcoming Everyone: Offering a non-judgmental, safe space where all individuals seeking help can find support, regardless of their background or the stage of their journey.
  • Supporting Recovery: Providing accessible resources, information, and guidance to empower our members in their recovery process. We strive to make the principles of AA understandable and relatable to those who are just beginning to explore the path to sobriety.
  • Fostering Connection: Encouraging the formation of meaningful connections within our community. We believe in the power of shared experiences and mutual support, which are vital in overcoming the challenges of addiction.
  • Inspiring Hope: Sharing success stories and recovery journeys to inspire and motivate newcomers. We emphasize that recovery is possible for everyone and that every journey, no matter how difficult, is worth embarking on.
  • Educating and Informing: Continuously educating our members about the nature of addiction and recovery, offering workshops, speakers, and literature that cater to the needs and questions of newcomers.
  • Advocating Compassion: Promoting a culture of compassion, understanding, and kindness, where every member supports one another without judgment, recognizing that every individual’s journey is unique.

At Fridley Alano Society, our commitment to focusing on the newcomer does not only help them take their first steps into recovery but also strengthens our collective journey towards a life of sobriety, healing, and growth.
